What I’m Reading:

Job:  The Wisdom of the Cross (Preaching the Word Commentary Series) by Christopher Ash.  This is by far the best commentary I have read on Job.  I wish I had found this book much earlier!  Ash is a wonderful writer.  More than that, it is evident he has studied and meditated on Job, in great detail, over many years.  With some commentaries I get the sense that the author is just going through the motions – not this one.  Ash also has an Advent devotional, which I am hoping to try out this holiday season.

Pray for Z. – My oldest son is recovering from serious mental illness.  While he waits for full-time employment, he has started volunteering with an organization that serves the disabled.  We see God’s hand in all of this, and we appreciate your prayers.
