Gold Star Friday (and Merry Christmas!)

What I’m Reading / Watching:

Last Christmas,  John and I started using The One Year Book of Best-Loved Bible Verses as our family devotional after dinner.  We are about halfway through, and still enjoying it. Pastor Len Woods has done a great job in his selection;  this is a survey of gospel truth, not a deck of feel-good affirmations.  As a bonus, the meditations are short enough for dinners with squirmy kids.  Consider it for a last-minute stocking stuffer!

Pray for Z. – My oldest son is recovering from serious mental illness.  Because of his disability, it has been challenging for him to find and hold a job.  Nonetheless, he is a man of many talents – including novel-writing — and we are trusting God for meaningful work for him.
